Our client is a reputable company that deals in large medical equipment and requires the services of an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT OFFICER. The Inventory Management Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of our inventory. This role requires exceptional analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work closely with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. The role reports to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of medical equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile them with the system records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock as needed.
  • Generate purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to meet inventory requirements.
  • Update and maintain inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
  • Implement and manage inventory tracking systems and software as needed.
  • Inspect incoming inventory for quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for optimizing inventory management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.


Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: The Candidate Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role in the healthcare or medical equipment business sector or related field
  • Five (5) years of proven record of working as Inventory Management Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
