Our client is a reputable company in the manufacturing/packaging industry and requires the services of a SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER. The candidate will manage the sales performance and resources in the business unit in order to achieve the agreed business plan targets. The candidate will focus on servicing clients within the West African subregion by providing packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the implementation of the agreed sales plan and budget objectives.
  • Identify and co-ordinate improvements in quality and servicing, balancing the need to maintain margin and meet growing customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain professional customer relationships to improve the flow of communication, understanding and increase loyalty to the business.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the market (including competitor activity) to develop strategies that provide competitive advantage.
  • Target and develop new sales and geographical expansion and develop new markets to increase sales volume and maximise profitability with emphasis on the international market.
  • Identify, negotiate, evaluate and recommend opportunities for partnerships that reach across multiple channels, to secure standout presence and reach excellent coverage, for integration across targeted markets.
  • Design and implement all export strategies and activities and ensure adherence to all project requirements and prepare all export documents within required time frame and schedule.
  • Identify appropriate transportation method in assistance with customers.
  • Monitor all existing and prospective markets and assist to identify appropriate business opportunities.
  • Monitor all sales transactions and review all customer response for all orders and payments and resolve all customer issues for processes and manage sales shipments.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales management experience.
  • Experience of a manufacturing environment (Corrugated Packaging preferred).
  • Ability to write and speak French fluently.
  • Ability to write and speak English fluently.
  • Good budget management skills.
  • Strong selling skills.

  • Great communication/presentation skills.
